A partnership between the Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) and Special Olympics Indiana that was initiated by the IHSAA Student Advisory Committee in December 2012. The partnership promotes and provides an opportunity for student athletes to be leader, changing their lives, as well as the peers that have intellectual disabilities. Champions Together encourages student athletes to volunteer while giving the opportunity of inclusion throughout schools and communities.
Fundraising allows the student athletes to help promote the vision and programs of Special Olympics Indiana and Champions Together. Champions Together is supported by Special Olympics International as a model program to activate schools through "Project Unify," a project that is endorsed by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS).
